Characteristics

Large comfortable Cab to suit all operators
Not all operators are the same size. That’s why the interior of the Kubota U48-5 is generously-sized, with an adjustable seat and available air ride seat and sunshade. Plus, there’s more headroom and floor space along with a slim, ergonomically positioned right meter panel. Low Noise* World-class noise reduction technology helps protect the operator’s hearing as well as provides a more comfortable working environment for the operator. Rear engine noise is reduced by a metal partition between the engine and the cab. The floor plate is also thicker to reduce noise from beneath the cab. The U48-5 Cab noise level is 74 dBa at the ear.
Available 5 auxiliary flow settings
Go with the flow: there are 5 auxiliary flow settings available on the U48-5, to match the attachment performance with the electronic return-to-tank for one-way flow attachments such as the Kubota Hydraulic Breaker. Dual Auxiliaries are standard equipment that allow thumb and attachment to be plumbed at same time.

Keyless start option
When time is precious, it’s the little things that make the difference. The U48-5 offers a keyless start option, with the ability to program 10 different codes so every operator can have their own.
Increased visibility
Visibility is critical when operating equipment. With more glass in the front window, skylight, and left and right windows, operators get a wider viewpoint.

An optional rear-view camera provides increased visibility to the rear of the compact excavator by displaying the view on the 7” LCD screen in the cab.
Angle blade optional hydraulic angle blade*
Save time and work more efficiently. With a simple movement of the new thumb operated rocker switch on the dozer lever, the hydraulic angle blade (optional) can be angled to the right or left to push soil to the side as the machine moves forward, eliminating the need for repetitive repositioning at right angles when backfilling trenches.
LED work lights with turn-off delay
The LED work lights can be programed to turn off 30 seconds to 2 minutes after the engine has stopped. This allows the operator to exit the machine and walk away safely under full illumination.
Orange Plus - Warranty and Maintenance
Kubota mini-excavators are protected under the Orange Plus Program. With six gold level packages ranging from 500 to 3,000 hours, you can purchase the one that best fits your needs. For example, if you purchase the 1,000 hour Planned Maintenance package, it includes regularly scheduled maintenance for the initial 50 hour maintenance, 250 hour maintenance and 500 hour maintenance service.
